Disney Movie tree

Our family has a theme tree every year.
This years theme is "Disney Movies"
I hope you like looking at our tree as much as
I loved decorating it this year.

Tinker Bell was cut with the Tinkerbell Cricut cart.
I uses the Cricut cart Tags, Bags and More
to cut out the popcorn boxes and Mickey and Friends
cart to cut out the film strips. The directions for the
popcorn balls is at the top of the post after this one.

Winnie the Pooh was cut with Pooh and Friends cart

Minnie was cut with Mickey and Friends cart

Goofy was cut with Mickey and Friends cart

Donald was cut with Mickey and Friends cart
And yes that is real film. Thanks to my mom
she found some that was going to be thrown out.
I used it as garland throughout the tree and made
lots of little bows. I made one big bow for the top
of the tree. There is a picture of the finished tree
in the next post.

More of our 2009 Christmas tree

These popcorn balls were easy to do.
(Thanks to a friend on the Cricut Message Board)
1)You need any type of clear glass balls.
2)Fresh popcorn. I found out the hard way.
3)Remove metal top and place 10-12 kernels in each ball.
4)Put ball in bowl so it stays upright.
5)Microwave on a low setting or a popcorn setting until
the popcorn stops popping. Mine took about 1 1/2 minutes.
6)Be very careful when you remove them. They will be HOT.
You might want to take a break after 2 or 3 to let your bowl cool
down or it could break from the excess use in the heat.
I added Mike and Ikes because we had a movie theme tree.

Mickey & Minnie were near the top of course.

This is the tree after all was done and the presents
finally all wrapped. (Christmas Eve)

Christmas crafts 2009

This is our 2009 family Christmas Card.
I really like how they turned out.

All my wrapping paper this year was red and white
and some had candy on it. So, when I saw that
Christmas Cheer (Cricut Cart) had candy on it
I would use those cuts for my tags.

This is the advent calendar I made for my girls
last year and they love it. It could be because
there were gold dollars in each day. I like to think
it is because mommy made it just for them.

More Christmas crafts 2009

I made 40 Snow Men Soup so my daughter
Emily could give them to all the children
in her class.

And I made 40 Snow Men Poop so my daughter Michaela
could give them to all the children in her class.
(She is in 6th grade so, it seemed more age appropriate)
