For todays project I would love to share with you a Birthday
Banner I made for my nieces 3rd birthday. She had a Busy
Town Birthday party. I wanted to make the banner so it
could be used year after year and it could also be used for
her sister. So, I make it in bright cheerful colors and the
apples could be replaced with flowers, cupcakes, balloons
or any other theme they might come up with in the years
to come. I have always had a hard time taking pictures of
banners so, I tried to break the banner into 2 pictures.

the letters. The flags I used can be found on page 62. I cut them
at 8 inches so I could use up some of the 8 1/2 X 11 paper I have
lots of. The flags end up being 8 X 8. I love how the shadow and
the base go together to great. I added some white dots and dashes
to add a little extra border.
it the shadow they needed. I dotted all the letters with crystal ice
stickles for more texture because I thought they looked to flat.
The pinwheels were cut in 2 strips of 2 x 12, punched with a
Martha Stewart paper punch folded at each dip in the punch
and then glued together. If you don't know how to make these
pin wheels please leave me a comment and I will give you detailed
directions. I apple came from the Doodlecharms cartridge and was
cut at 8 inches.
