Card Creating Sunday

Today is Card Creating Sunday over at

I decided to make 4 very simple cards
this week to give to my daughter to send
to the girls she met at camp.

All of the Owls were cut from Hoot
N Holler Cricut Light cartridge.

I cut all of the owls out at 2 inches.  (I really
wouldn't go any smaller.) Then I matted
them on 3 X 3 inch and 3 1/2 X 3 1/2 inch squares.

The card was cut at 4 1/2 X 4 1/2 inches.

The bottom square and the owls are
all pop dotted to give them a lift.

I ran the squares through different
cuttlebug folders and then inked
them with coordinating ink.

The stamp set is one I picked up at JoAnn's
on clearance.  They are by Inkadinkado.
I hope you enjoyed my simple card set for
today.

My Cricut Craft Room's Card and Invitation Blog Hop Day 2

amazing and talented ladies in this hop.

I though I would share with you 3 simple cards
I made to send to my daughter Emily while she
 was away at camp.

I started with 4 X 5 1/2 card bases in 3
different colors.  She loves the Create a
Critter cartridge so I choose 3 different
cute critters to put on the front of each card.
The first card has the Raccoon from page 33.
I cut him out at 3 inches.  He is pop dotted
to lift him off the page.  (If you are planning
on mailing any type of card that has been pop
dotted you will have to pay an extra 20 cents
because of the thickness.) The back ground
paper is cut at 3 1/2 X 5 to give it a border.

The next cute critter is the Koala bear.
He can be found on page 49.
He too was cut at 3 inches.

And the last Critter is the Owl.  The Owl is
located on page 25.  Emily LOVES Owls so,
this was the first card you received at camp.
The Owl was also cut at 3 inches.

I think this would be a great set to give to a teacher
or someone special.

I hope you enjoyed my cards for today.

I decided to make a very simple Hello card for
today.  I used the Walk in My Garden cartridge
for my card.  You can find the cornflower on
page 86.  I cut the flower at 2 1/2 inches.
The finished card is 4 X 7.  I pop dotted the
flower to give it a little lift off the card.

I hope you enjoyed my card for today.
Please stop by tomorrow for a few more cards.

Thankful Thursdays DT Back to School Sweet Treats

The Design Team over at Crazy About Cricut
was asked to make a special note to put in our
children's lunches.  With this being my daughter
first year of middle school, I thought she would
love a little something special and a sweet treat
at the same time.

She will only have 3 days of school the first
week so I made 3 different treats for her to
have.

She loves milky ways and snickers bars. So,
I took some scrap pieces of paper and wrapped
them with the paper.  I crimped the edges of the
packages and then added some tags from Tags,
Bags, Boxes & More. The Green paper is a sour
cream paper container.  Here is a good YouTube
video to give you great directions if you have never
made one of these containers.
Inside the Sour Cream container I added dried
cranberries mixed with fruit gummies.

I hope you stop by Jenny's blog and check out the
other Design Team projects.

I hope you enjoyed my Sweet Treats

Queen of my Craftroom Back to School card challenge

This weeks challenge over at Queen of my
Craftroom is to make a Back to School Card.

I choose to use the school bus from Doodlecharms
and the kids are from Paperdoll Dress Up.

I used my Gyspy to weld two of the school buses
on black out at 4 1/4 inches high.  The kids
were then cut at 2 inches each.  I can't draw
faces at all so, I depend on my Peachy Keen face
stamps.  The stamp set that I used for these dolls
is the Basic Paper Doll Face Assortment PK-570

I hope you decide to come and join us in this
weeks challenge.

I hope you enjoyed my Back to School card.

Queen of my Craftroom Back to School Blog Hop Aug 6th & 7th Day 2

Welcome Back to Day 2 of the Queen of
my Craftroom Back to School Blog Hop.
If you are joining me from Berenice at
Then you are in the right place.

If you just happened across my blog and would
like to play along in our fun hop, you can go to
Queen of My Craftroom at
and start at the beginning.  There are so many
amazing and talented ladies in this hop.

Thank you for  joining me on Day 2 of the Back
to School Blog Hop! Each of us bloggers were ask
to create a Back to School themed project for this Hop.

I decided for todays hop to make a couple Sweet
Treats that can be handed out to your child's new
teacher on the first day of school.

I though "what teacher wouldn't love some home
baked cookies". Especially when they are made
with love.  And why wouldn't you want to have
a cute Apple card to go with them.

The cookies are made from the recipe off the back
of the tollhouse chocolate chip package.  I  added an
extra 1/2 package of chocolate chips to the mix because
who doesn't love LOTS of chocolate chips.  I used
my nestabilities to make the topped for the bags but,
you could just use a rectangle and fold it in half.  The
School Bus and Back pack came from the Doodlecharms
cartridge and were cut at 2 1/2 inches.

The apple card was cut at 5 inches from the
Create a Critter cartridge.  Don't you love that
little tale sticking out.  What could it be?

Yes, it is a cute little worm.  I also used
Create a Critter to cut her out.  She is cut
at 2 1/2 inches and backed with a black
shadow.  I added a few pop dots to give
her a little lift off the card.  Since this
cartridge doesn't include a card option I
took out my poor neglected Gyspy and added
2 apples to the mat, flipped one of them and
then used the wonderful weld option.  I can't
tell you how much I love the weld option on
my Gyspy.  To get the green on the inside of
the card I cut one more apple with the
 blackout feature.

With this being the first year that both my
daughters are going to be in Middle School
together I though I would celebrate with some
Blog Candy for you. If you would love
for me to send you some Blog Candy please
leave me some Blog Love below.

~I am giving away a sample of the DCWV
Grade School 4 1/2 X 6 1/2 stack,
a package of apple stickers (that any teacher
would love) a pack of school ribbon &
one of the best black pens money can buy
(at least I love them) ~

Queen of my Craftroom is having some blog candy also.
The sponsors for the hop are: Karbar digital stamps,
Jen's digi stamps & Hambo stamps.  Please leave me
a comment on my blog to be entered into the drawing.
All of us in the hop will be drawing one name from
the comments and sending that name off to Michelle.
She will then draw from those names who the winner
will be.  The drawing will end Sunday at 8:00 p.m.

I hope you enjoyed my projects.
