Queen of my Craftroom Back to School Blog Hop Aug. 6th & 7th Day 1

Welcome to Day 1 of Queen of my Craftroom
Back to School Blog Hop.
If you are joining me from Berenice at
Then you are in the right place.

If you just happened across my blog and would
like to play along in our fun hop, you can go to
Queen of My Craftroom at
and start at the beginning.

Thank you for joining me for the Back to School
Blog Hop! Each of us bloggers were ask to create
a Back to School themed project for this Hop.

I decided to make a couple different fun projects
that can be handed out to your child's new
teacher on the first day of school.

The first project is a clay pot filled
with brand new pencils.  What teacher doesn't
Love brand new pencils!!  I painted the clay
pot with 6 coats of regular black acrylic paint.
The apple was cut at 5 inches from Create a Critter.
After the paint is dry you can use chalk to write
a special message to the teacher on it.  It is okay
if you mess up (as I found out) because the
chalk wipes of with a wet towel.

This project is a very simple one for anyone who
Loves Post it Notes.  I cut the red background at
3 1/4 inches X 8 inches. Then score it at 3 1/4,
3 3/4 & 4 1/4 inches.  Measure your pen and mark
off where you want the holder to go.  Then fold
the scored lines.  After it is folded it should all
make sense.  I cut the top paper at 3 X 3 inches.
The A+ is cut from Platinum Schoolbook
at 1 1/2 inches.  The apple is from Doodlecharm
and is cut at 2 1/2 inches.  I made it with the shadow
on the main apple and then cut another shadow to
put on the back.  I used pop dots to glue the two
layers together over the Giant paperclip.

With this being the first year that both my
daughters are going to be in Middle School
together I though I would celebrate with some
Blog Candy for you. If you would love
for me to send you some Blog Candy please
leave me some Blog Love below.

~I am giving away a sample of the DCWV
Grade School 4 1/2 X 6 1/2 stack,
a package of apple stickers (that any teacher
would love) a pack of school ribbon &
one of the best black pens money can buy
(at least I love them) ~

Queen of my Craftroom is having some blog candy also.
The sponsors for the hop are: Karbar digital stamps,
Jen's digi stamps & Hambo stamps.  Please leave me
a comment on my blog to be entered into the drawing.
All of us in the hop will be drawing one name from
the comments and sending that name off to Michelle.
She will then draw from those names who the winner
will be.  The drawing will end Sunday at 8:00 p.m.

I hope you enjoyed my projects.
